Our real-time economy has been led by smart technology that is greatly reliant on data. As such, data has clearly become one of the business drivers in several sectors. Furthermore, in recent years, public web data has become central in supporting multiple industry sectors as well as academic research. Even once very reluctant industries, such as the financial sector, are integrating web data into their operations. However, the question remains, can web data serve your goals and reflect our new real time? In this talk, Omri Orgad, Bright Data’s North America Managing Director, will discuss just that and illustrate our new data-driven real time with some real-time examples.

Elevating Data Equity in Practice
9:30 am - 11:00 am
In any role where you work with data or use data to make decisions, issues of data equity are emerging as an essential consideration. A more equitable approach to data involves asking questions such as: what assumptions or perspectives are built into the data? Who defined the categories and methodology, and why? What is and is not represented in the data, and why? How is equity defined in this context? These answers can help us develop a better approach to our data work, but implementing new practices into projects and teams can be challenging. Hear from our panelists on their perspectives on data equity and learn from how they’ve brought these practices to their work to help build a more equitable future.
