Dr. Steven J. Steinberg

As GIO for LA County Dr. Steinberg guides the geospatial strategy across all departments. He is passionate about the use of geospatial methods to solve real-world problems. He is actively involved in geospatial organizations and serves as a member of the Board of Directors for URISA International, the GIS Professional Association. Dr. Steinberg also serves on National workgroups with the United State Geological Survey (USGS) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Steve in his “free time” is also a professor in the GIScience Program at CSU Long Beach.
