Brand Guidelines

Logo Usage

The preferred logo for Data Con LA is the horizontal version, dcla-logo.[svg,png]. It should be used in all official communications, including social media, press releases, and marketing materials. The square versions are available for use in situations where a square logo is more appropriate, such as profile pictures or app icons. White and black versions of the logo are also available for use on dark or light backgrounds, respectively, when the color version does not provide enough contrast.

The Data Con LA logo should be used in its original form and not altered in any way. Do not alter its proportions (stretch) or colors. It should be placed on a contrasting background to ensure legibility and accessibility. Allow for sufficient white space around the logo to maintain its integrity and visibility.

Naming Conventions

The organization is to be referred to as "Data Con LA". The annual events are named "Data Con LA" followed by the 4-digit year of the event — "Data Con LA 2024", for example. The abbreviation DCLA (and, accordingly, DCLA'24) is also appropriate in less formal contexts. "DataCon LA" or "DataConLA" are not the official names and should not be used.
