Data Con LA 2018 — formerly Big Data Day LA — was held on August 11, 2018 at the University of Southern California. This year marked the rebrand from Big Data Day LA to Data Con LA, reflecting the conference's broadening scope beyond big data. The event drew over 1,800 attendees across 8 tracks and 52 sessions. The Startup Showcase focused on Media and Entertainment, with finalists pitching to judges from Warner Bros., Disney, NBCUniversal, Netflix, Hulu, USC, and TenOneTen Ventures.
