Healthcare deserts: How accessible is US healthcare?

Data 4 Good

In 2018, healthcare spending in the US accounted for 17% of the nation’s GDP. With such a big spend, are we being optimal in investing it in the right areas? How do we understand geographically which areas require heavier investment? Creatively using data available in the public records, it is possible to locate all major hospitals in the US, and using an algorithm that efficiently computes 1.8M records in a matter of seconds can provide the starting point to solving healthcare access and disparity issue. The talk will discuss a few things below:
*Several public datasets that are available to answer the question
*The logic and algorithm to compute big data efficiently on Python
*Visualize to address the problem effectively with Tableau
