Ellie Albertson, PhD, is a Senior Data Scientist with over ten years of experience leading data analytics in health care and social services. She is passionate about bringing a human-centered, social science-based lens to machine learning and advanced statistical analysis. In her work, she has implemented machine learning models to improve health care outcomes and patient engagement, conducted A/B tests, and applied innovative approaches to patient segmentation and cluster analysis. Dr. Albertson holds a PhD in Public Health from UCLA, where she completed interdisciplinary training in statistics, econometrics, and epidemiology. Outside of work, she is a volunteer mentor with the All Tech is Human Responsible Tech Mentorship program, and is a facilitator for the Flatiron School Data Science Bootcamp where she enjoys teaching Python, SQL, and data science to upcoming data professionals.
