Frederic Schoenberg
Professor at UCLA Statistics and Data Science
Frederic Schoenberg is a Professor of Statistics and Data Science at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he has taught since 1998. He served as the Chair of UCLA’s Department of Statistics from 2012 to 2015 and currently serves as the Director of the UCLA Masters of Applied Statistics and Data Science Program. His research focuses on point processes and their application to various problems, including forecasting earthquakes, wildfires, crimes, and epidemic diseases, and he has also studied the quantification of luck and skill in poker.
