Anita Sengupta, PhD

Dr. Anita Sengupta is an aerospace engineer, commercial pilot, and rocket scientist with over 20 years in space exploration, including developing propulsion systems for NASA’s Dawn Mission and the parachute that landed Curiosity on Mars. After leading systems engineering at Virgin Hyperloop, she founded Hydroplane Ltd., which builds hydrogen fuel cell technology for zero-emission aviation and has received major U.S. Air Force and Energy Commission awards. She is also a Research Professor of Astronautical Engineering at USC and an active Civil Air Patrol pilot.
