Riya Bhatia

Riya Bhatia is a recent graduate of California State University, Long Beach, with a degree in Information Systems. She started out studying Electronics in India and, somewhere along the way, became fascinated by a different kind of signal: the patterns hidden in data. That curiosity followed her into her degree, and now into her job search, as she figures out where she fits in the field. Alongside the search, she's building NourishU AI, a nutrition and food app currently in beta that has won two social innovation competitions and raised over $7,000 in funding, and she leads the analytics side of the product. She's moderating this panel to bring that same "figuring it out" energy to a conversation about breaking into data.
